Meditation
“Become familiar with the nature of your own mind.”
Rooted in lineage. Guided by compassion.
Learn meditation with Karen Stone – over 20 years of teaching experience.

“To know the mind is to know peace.”
Meditation is more than a technique, it’s a way of returning to the present moment, gently and with awareness.
In Tibetan, the word for meditation is gom (སྒོམ་), which means to become familiar with.
We become familiar with the mind’s natural state: still, luminous, and clear.
This practice calms the winds of thought and emotion, allowing the body and spirit to
rest deeply.
Why Practice Meditation?
-
Reduce anxiety and calm the nervous system
-
Improve sleep, focus, and emotional balance
-
Reconnect to clarity, compassion, and inner strength
-
Settle Lung (རླུང་) – the wind element related to breath, thought, and movement
Meditation Practices I offer in my classes may include:
-
Shiné (ཞི་གནས་)
Calm abiding. Rest the mind on breath or body to develop stillness and focus.
-
Tonglen (གཏོང་ལེན་)
Giving and receiving. A powerful compassion practice using the breath.
-
Ngak (གནག་)
Mantra recitation. Work with sacred sound to support healing and energy balance.
-
Lhaktong (ལྷག་མཐོང་)
Insight meditation. Deepen awareness through non-grasping observation.
-
Guided Visualisation
Meditations with colour, image, and sound to awaken inner wisdom.
Practices are tailored to your experience, needs, and intentions, the teaching of meditation should be in response to the student.
I’ve been practising and teaching Tibetan meditation for over 20 years. My approach is rooted in the healing wisdom of Buddhism and supported by personal lineage practice.
I offer a safe, grounded, and compassionate space for both beginners and long-time practitioners to deepen their inner journey.
Whether you’re seeking peace, clarity, energy healing, or a fuller connection to life, meditation offers a return to your natural state of wholeness.
I offer regular short courses, both online or in person. One on one sessions are also available, as are group sessions for organisations. Contact me for me details.
There is also a weekly meditation session uploaded to Youtube, every Wednesday.
